Passing on the Gifts

Because they only had a little bit of extra money, Aunt Ida and her husband Charles could only afford small items. They bought things like the electric guitar practice tips book, toy cars, and other trinkets that delighted them and made them happy. When Uncle Charles died, Aunt Ida didn’t want the things anymore that reminded her of her husband at every turn, so she decided to give them away, one by one as gifts to the family. Not only did it help her pass on the memory of her beloved husband, it helped clear out the house and saved her money since she didn’t have to purchase another gift ever again.
