Toyota Tacoma Suspension Lift Kit Types

For the 05-09 Tacoma there are a variety of suspension lift kits on the market. Most of the suspension systems range in lift height from 2-6″. The least expensive Toyota Tacoma suspension lift kit consists of spring spacers. These are installed into the factory struts to preload the spring, giving about 1.5 to 2″ in lift height. Next up the line is performance coilovers. These are performance shocks with built in coil mounts. Most of the coilover lift kits provide an adjustable 0-3.5″ of lift. The more common lift kit on the market for the Toyota Tacoma is the drop down bracket type. These kits lower all of the mounting points of the suspension A-Arms, steering linkage and shock mounting points to provide the added lift heigh, while still maintaining factory suspension geometry.
