Battery Recycling Bins Can Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

My science class has been studying pollution and the effects it has on our environment. We have been looking at how it affects the world now, and how continued abuse will affect it in the future. We have learned about the term carbon footprint, and what that means to both individuals and businesses alike. Our assignment has been to find as many ways as we can that people are making a difference. My idea is to research the use of battery recycling bins to collect old and worn-out batteries and recycle them. It may not seem like a huge thing, but just imagine if everyone did this. I think it could actually make some kind of difference.
