I Caught it Before it Was Too Late

Ever since the Internet became widely used, I’ve tried to be really on top of where my personal information is and who has access to it. I’m really glad, because we had quite a scare last year. Every year we get the merged credit report to make sure that things add up. Well, last year, they just didn’t. There were accounts that I knew weren’t mine and charges that were ludicrous. Luckily, we caught it soon and were able to start the process of disputing things and cleaning it up. I can’t imagine how much worse it would have been if I hadn’t been paying attention.
