Kids Think World Ended

My children are beside themselves today. They’re crying “foul” and bemoaning the terribly unjust fate which has befallen them. They’re actively plotting their resistance and revenge. The crime which has been perpetuated is nearly unthinkable: Their private school has decided to enact a new dress code, which means the kids now get to wear School Uniforms instead of their beloved fashion-forward back-to-school wardrobe. Personally, I’m happy with the change; it will save us a bundle on clothing costs and will help to cut down on the competition to be “cool” and to have the best “stuff” among the kids. I doubt the kids will every like it, but quite frankly, that’s okay with me!
