Researching an Attic Fan Online

My husband and I just bought a new house. We are learning a lot about houses and the things that we need to do. The other day, I went up into the attic and was blown away by how hot it was up there. I am afraid to store anything up there because it gets so warm. I have been researching an attic fan online. I think it would be a good idea. If it could help to cool off the attic, it would probably help to cool off the entire house. I am hoping that this is something easy and affordable that we can do ourselves.
