    Keeping Track on Mountain Bike Sizes

    Different from regular bicycles, mountain bikes are designed to do far better in off-road cycling including logging roads, dirt trails and steep declines. The standard size of wheels used for this one measures 559 millimeters, which is a sizing carried out by the International Organization for Standardization or ISO. These types of bikes are categorized into different mountain bike sizes including downhill bikes, freeride mountain bikes and all-mountain bikes. A downhill bike normally includes a suspension travel of around 178 millimeters. For a freeride mountain bike, the size of the travel is at least 150 millimeters. For the all-mountain bike, the suspension travel is also 150 millimeters.For your trail bike, the travel measures 120 millimeters to 140 millimeters and weighs around between 25 pounds to 32 pounds.
