Allot of survivalists will tell you that you need a ton of survival gear to go in the wilderness. I say if you are planning a trip, pack for the conditions that you will encounter. You will need to think about the daytime, and night time weather . Some places have huge temperature fluctuations between the days and nights. You would not want to have all of your clothes for the warm days, and be exposed to cool temperatures at night. Cold can hurt you and tax your body making it weak. If you plan carefully, you can have a great trip, and still be be prepared for anything that comes your way.
