Apple says iMac will be hard to get

In yet another secretive and ambiguous move by Apple, members of its reselling channel have been warned that the iMac may have some availability issues in the coming weeks says iPhone 3G Hard Case. It is a move that some industry experts have noted as a sign that Apple is preparing for a shift in the iMac line. Rumors have been abuzz that Apple had agreed to use Intel’s new quad core desktop CPU so this choke on the supply chain may indicate the time necessary for factory reconfigurations and other production/logistical changes. This would mark a considerable difference for the iMac which had up until now relied on more or less the same hardware infrastructure as the Macbook line.
