There is a big difference between consumers in Asia and consumers in western countries. Save for a few tech savvy young people, it seems that consumers in the western nations generally play by the rules set forward by the corporations where as in Asia, people try to get the most out of their device with no regard for the corporations. The M3 card is a great example of a device that came out of Asia that allows you to play any games and watch movies on the DS as well as download many great homebrew games and other software for free!
