A cold but clear weekend

With the winter festival on we thought that town might have been very busy so we got on to a taupo accommodation site to book something early. It turned out that we had overestimated how busy it would be and we had no trouble at all getting a place, still, it was good to get in early because last time there was an event on there we almost missed out on a room for the night. It turned out to be a really nice weekend and even though it was freezing cold, the sun was shining and it was really nice to wander by the lake and see the snow covered mountain.
