Best Taupo Hotels

While there are many beautiful hotels on the shores of Lake Taupo on the North Island of New Zealand, I think the most spectacular one is the prestigeous Huka Lodge which has had Queen Elizabeth as a guest. Of all the Taupo Hotels, it is the only five star hotel on the lake. While it is pretty pricey it is absolutely gorgeous. The guest rooms are amazing and have patio doors that open up onto the lake. The lodge is set back in a secluded area of the lake so that it is very private. The pictures of the lodge and area are absolutely stunning. If I had my choice of anywhere to stay on the lake, it would definitely be the Huka Lodge.
